Andressa Lima is a Brazilian millennial writer, journalist, researcher, and cultural critic. She holds a degree in Journalism from Universidade Feevale and a Master’s in Literary Studies from PUCRS, where she researched Afro-Brazilian literature and Orishas religion.
Her work moves between cultural journalism, literary criticism, creative writing, and content strategy, with a particular interest in Afro-Brazilian culture, African diasporic knowledge, memory, identity, and representation. She is interested in the ways African and Afro-Brazilian traditions shape Black literature and continue to influence how Black people understand history, culture, and themselves.
Over the past 15 years, Andressa has worked across journalism, storytelling, branding, and content strategy, collaborating with major brands and organizations including Unilever, Itaú, C&A, Magazine Luiza, Claro, and Sicredi. Alongside her professional work, she has published essays and book chapters exploring identity, memory, culture, and Black experiences.
She is also the founder of The BLK ART EXP, an independent editorial project dedicated to Black art and the presence of Black people in the arts. Through essays, cultural journalism, and digital content, the project brings together art, literature, history, memory, and contemporary life.
As a Brazilian millennial and Black creative, Andressa’s perspective is shaped by the cultural crossings of a generation that grew up between the analog and digital worlds, while witnessing major shifts in how Black voices, histories, and aesthetics are represented and circulated.
Her writing focuses on artists and authors who challenge colonial narratives and reclaim Black experience as a source of knowledge, imagination, and critical thought. Her work ultimately sits at the intersection of research, literary analysis, and creative writing, tracing how memory, place, spirituality, and contemporary poetics continue to evolve across the African diaspora.
